A Bakersfield man says at least three people he doesn't know are using his social security number. Gabriel Lopez says identity theft is ruining his credit. He feels the suspects are also cheating the government, and no one will help.

She described him as a hard-working individual who was not using a Social Security number for identity theft or other nefarious purposes. She declined to identify him. "He was just using (the Social Security number) to survive and work here," she said.
